We head to Buena Vista at least once a year to enjoy the local hot springs. This year we decided to spend my birthday at Casa Sanchez, a quaint little restaurant serving great Mexican food. We have been here before and the food has been consistently good and we were not disappointed again. The chips and salsas are among the best I have ever had, even in Mexico. We had a chicken quesadilla and a combo plate of beef enchiladas and chile rellenos. The portions were huge and the taste was fabulous! Easily the best Mexican food I have eaten in the southwest. However what makes this place so vibrant is the staff. Right from the front door you feel like you were welcomed into someone’s home. Our waiter Hector was excellent. He was always there when we needed him and gave us our space when we didn’t. We actually heard one of the waiters singing! These people live their job and their attitude and enthusiasm adds to the overall experience. I highly recommend this establishment.
Ive been coming here for years and it is by far the best mexican around. Awesome food, awesome flavors, awesome staff. Great place to stop while in town. Always an excellent choice
My Fiance and His parents go there a lot when their in the area and then he started taking me and now we go there every time we go camping up their I always get the Colorado burrito and it's delicious and the out door seating is great since we always have our dogs with us and the staff is great and very friendly
One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve experienced, in the unlikely town of Buena Vista. Both the food and drinks (“top shelf” margaritas) were superb. Highly recommended.
Exceptional service and food! The chicken fajitas were served as a large portion and steaming on a hot skillet. The salsa, green chili, and cheese dip were very good!
Everything I eat here is phenomenal. Especially the burger. I know right, a burger in a Mexican food restaurant. Who would have thought it. The ground beef patty is huge! It's not smashed to cardboard size. My other favorite is the shredded beef chimichanga. I even order more than can I eat so I have leftovers to take home!
